Argentinian Beef Empanadas
A traditional Argentinian dish featuring flavorful beef empanadas with a silky empanada dough.
Ingredients
- β1 lb (450g) ground beef beef80% lean
- β1 package (14 oz, 397g) frozen empanada dough argentinianthawed
- β1/2 cup (120g) chopped fresh parsley zesty
- β1/4 cup (60g) chopped fresh oregano zesty
- β1/2 teaspoon (2.5g) ground cumin zesty
- β1/4 teaspoon (1.25g) cayenne pepper zesty
- β2 tablespoons (30g) olive oil silky
- β1/2 teaspoon (2.5g) salt
- β1/4 teaspoon (1.25g) pepper

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Roll out empanada dough to a thickness of about 1/8 inch (3mm).

Cut out circles of dough using a cookie cutter or the rim of a glass.

Place a tablespoon or two of the beef mixture onto the center of each dough circle.

Brush the edges of the dough with water.

Fold the dough over the filling to form a half-circle shape, pressing the edges together to seal.

Use a fork to crimp the edges.

Brush the tops of the empanadas with olive oil.

Place the empanadas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the empanadas are golden brown.
