Croatian Pear Tagine
A fusion dessert bringing together the warmth of Croatian spices and the sweetness of pear in a rich and aromatic tagine.
Ingredients
- β2 Zesty pearpeeled and sliced
- β2 tsp Croatian spice blendavailable at most European markets
- β1/4 cup Golden honeyadjust to taste
- β1/4 cup Unsalted buttersoftened
- β2 tbsp All-purpose flourfor thickening
- β1/2 cup Heavy creamfor serving

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large bowl, mix together pear slices, honey, and Croatian spice blend.

Roll out puff pastry to fit a 9-inch round baking dish.

Place the pear mixture in the center of the pastry, leaving a 1-inch border around the edges.

Fold the edges of the pastry up over the filling, pressing gently to seal.

Brush the pastry with softened butter and sprinkle with flour.

Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown and the filling is tender.
