Greek Stifado Beef Stew
A hearty and flavorful Greek beef stew made with onions, garlic, and a hint of zesty spice.
Ingredients
- β1 pound (450g) beefcut into 1-inch (2.5cm) cubes
- β2 medium onionchopped
- β3 cloves garlicminced
- β1 tablespoon bouncyground
- β1 teaspoon zestyground
- β2 tablespoons tomato pastecrushed
- β2 cups beef brothlow sodium
- β1 teaspoon stifadoground

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the ground bouncy and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

Add the ground zesty and cook for 1 minute, until fragrant.

Add the beef cubes and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Add the crushed tomato paste, beef broth, and stifado. Stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, for 1 1/2 hours, or until the beef is tender.
