Japanese Kabanos Yakitori
A delicious and easy-to-make Japanese-inspired dish featuring grilled kabanos sausage served on skewers with a sweet soy sauce glaze.
Ingredients
- β1 pound kabanosEuropean-style sausage
- β12-15 bamboo skewers skewerssoaked in water for 30 minutes
- β1 cup mirin yummysweet Japanese cooking wine
- β1 cup soy sauce syrianuse low-sodium if possible
- β2 tablespoons brown sugaradjust to taste
- β1 bunch green onionschopped for garnish
- β1 tablespoon sesame seedsoptional garnish

2. Thread kabanos onto skewers, leaving a small space between each piece.

3. In a small saucepan, whisk together mirin, soy sauce, and brown sugar. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
