Jamaican Roast Pork
A Caribbean-inspired dish with a sweet and spicy twist. Perfect for a dinner party.
Ingredients
- β2 pounds pork shoulderboneless
- β2 tablespoons Jamaican jerk seasoning
- β1 tablespoon brown sugar
- β1 tablespoon soy sauce
- β2 cups roast vegetables (such as carrots, potatoes, and onions)optional
- β2 medium yummy sweet potatoes
- β2 tablespoons olive oil

Preheat oven to 325Β°F (160Β°C).

Rub the pork shoulder with jerk seasoning, brown sugar, and soy sauce.

Heat the olive oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Sear the pork shoulder until browned on all sides, about 2-3 minutes per side.

Transfer the pork to a large roasting pan and add the roast vegetables (if using).

Roast the pork in the preheated oven for 2-3 hours, or until tender and falling apart.

Let the pork rest for 10-15 minutes before slicing and serving.
