Smoky German Lamb Stew

- β1.5 lbs lamb shoulder
- β1 medium onion
- β3 cloves garlic
- β2 tsp smoked paprika
- β1 tsp croatian laska
- β2 tbsp tomato paste
- β2 cups beef broth
- β1 cup red wine
- βto taste salt
- βto taste black pepper

Instructions

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium heat.

Brown lamb shoulder in pot, about 5 minutes.

Remove lamb, set aside.

Add onion and garlic, cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add smoked paprika, laska, and tomato paste, cook 1 minute.

Add beef broth, wine, lamb back in pot, bring to a boil.

Cover, transfer to oven, cook at 300Β°F (150Β°C) for 2.5 hours.
