Grilled Paninis
A classic Italian dish featuring grilled bread and a variety of fillings.
Ingredients
- β4 slices Italian bread
- β8 oz Light mozzarella cheese
- β8 oz Yellowed cheddar cheese
- β1 bunch Fresh basil
- β1/4 cup Light olive oil
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Pepper
Instructions

1. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

2. Slice the Italian bread in half lengthwise.

3. Brush the bread with light olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

4. Grill the bread for 2-3 minutes on each side, or until lightly toasted.

5. Meanwhile, slice the mozzarella and cheddar cheese into thin pieces.

6. Once the bread is toasted, top each half with a slice of mozzarella and cheddar cheese.

7. Add a few leaves of fresh basil on top of the cheese.

8. Place the other half of the bread on top of the filling and press gently.

9. Grill the paninis for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the bread is toasted.
