Golden Irish Scone Bake
A moist and flaky scone infused with the warmth of golden syrup and the subtle tang of Irish cream.
Ingredients
- β2 tablespoons Golden syrup
- β1 teaspoon Irish cream
- β1/2 cup, shredded Yellowed mozzarella
- β1 1/2 cups All-purpose flour
- β2 teaspoons Bake baking powder
- β1 tablespoon Granulated sugar
- β1/4 cup Unsalted butter, melted
- β1 Large eggs
- β1/4 teaspoon Salt

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar, and salt.

Add the melted butter, eggs, golden syrup, and Irish cream to the dry ingredients. Stir until just combined.

Fold in the shredded mozzarella.

Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and gently knead a few times until it comes together.

Pat the dough into a circle that is about 1 inch (2.5 cm) thick.

Cut the scone into wedges and place on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch (2.5 cm) of space between each scone.
