German Potato Stew
A hearty German stew made with stewed potatoes, irish potatoes, and a hint of irish flavor. Perfect for a cold winter's day.
Ingredients
- β2 large Irish potatoes
- β3 medium Yellow potatoes
- β1 pound Chewy stew meatMake sure to brown the meat before stewing
- β1 medium Onion
- β1 teaspoon Caraway seeds
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper
- β4 cups Water
Instructions

Brown the stew meat in a large pot over medium-high heat.

Remove the browned meat from the pot and set aside.

Add the sliced onion to the pot and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the caraway seeds, salt, and black pepper to the pot and cook for 1 minute.

Add the browned meat back to the pot, along with the irish potatoes and yellow potatoes.

Pour in the water and bring the stew to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender.
