Spicy Pork Dumplings
A popular Chinese dish made with juicy pork and wrapped in a delicate dumpling wrapper, served with a side of spicy dipping sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Ground Pork80/20 lean to fat ratio
- β20-25 wrappers Dumpling Wrappers
- β1 medium Yellow Onionfinely chopped
- β2 inches Gingergrated
- β2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- β1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
- β1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds
- β1 tablespoon Spicy Chili Oilor to taste
- βto taste Salt

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine ground pork, finely chopped onion, grated ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and sesame seeds. Mix well.

2. Lay a dumpling wrapper on a clean surface and place a tablespoon of the pork mixture in the center of the wrapper.

3. Dip your finger in water and run it along the edges of the wrapper. Fold the wrapper into a half moon shape, pressing the edges together to seal the dumpling.

4. Repeat with the remaining wrappers and pork mixture.

5. In a large skillet or wok, heat 2 tablespoons of sesame oil over medium-high heat.

6. When the oil is hot, add the dumplings to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side, until the bottoms are golden brown.

7. Add 2 cups of water to the skillet and bring to a boil.

8. Reduce the heat to medium-low and simmer for 5-7 minutes, until the dumplings are cooked through.

9. Serve the dumplings hot with a side of spicy dipping sauce.
