Croatian Stew with Yellow Onions and Silky Texture
A hearty and flavorful stew originating from Croatia, made with tender onions and a silky twist.
Ingredients

- β1 cup croatian stew mixavailable at most European markets
- β1 block silky tofucrumbled
- β4 cups vegetable brothlow sodium
- β1 cup wateroptional
- βto taste saltoptional
- βto taste black pepperoptional
Instructions

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large pot over medium heat.

Add the sliced onions and cook until they are translucent and starting to caramelize.

Add the Croatian stew mix and cook for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Add the crumbled tofu and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring constantly.

Pour in the vegetable broth and water (if using), and bring the mixture to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, for 20-25 minutes or until the stew has thickened.
