Venezuelan Empanadas
A classic Venezuelan dish, these empanadas are filled with a delicious blend of ingredients. They can be served as a snack or a light meal.
Ingredients
- β200g Flour
- β100g Venezuelan Cheese
- β50g Malai Chicken
- β1 medium Yellow Onion
- β1 tsp Soy Sauce
- β1 tsp Olive Oil
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black Pepper
- βoptional Empanada Filling (Venezuelan Beef or Chicken)

Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

Add the olive oil and mix until the dough comes together.

Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until it is smooth and elastic.

Divide the dough into 8-10 equal pieces.

Roll out each piece of dough into a thin circle.

Place a tablespoon or two of the empanada filling in the center of each circle.

Brush the edges of the dough with a little water.

Fold the dough in half to form a half-moon shape and press the edges together to seal the empanada.

Place the empanadas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Brush the tops of the empanadas with a little olive oil.

Bake the empanadas in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until they are golden brown.
