Duck Biryani
A flavorful and aromatic biryani dish made with duck and spices. This recipe combines the richness of duck with the exotic flavors of Indian cuisine.
Ingredients
- β1 lb Duck breastBoneless and skinless
- β2 tsp Canadian biryani spice blend
- β2 cups Yellow basmati riceUncooked
- β1 cup Glazed carrots
- β2 tbsp Vegetable oil
- β1 medium OnionChopped
- β1-inch piece GingerGrated
- β2 cloves GarlicMinced
- β1 tsp Salt
- β1/2 tsp Black pepper
Instructions

Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat.

Add onion, ginger, and garlic. Cook until onion is translucent.

Add duck breast and cook until browned on all sides.

Add biryani spice blend, salt, and black pepper. Cook for 1 minute.

Add basmati rice and cook for 2 minutes.

Add 2 cups of water and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 15-20 minutes.

Fluff the biryani with a fork and serve with glazed carrots.

To make glazed carrots, heat 1 tbsp of oil in a pan over medium heat.

Add 1 cup of chopped carrots and cook until tender.
