German Pretzel Bites
A delicious German-inspired appetizer featuring soft, fluffy pretzels with a hint of saltiness.
Ingredients
- ●1 package active dry yeast yeasty
- ●2 cups warm water tunisian
- ●4 cups all-purpose flour bun
- ●1/4 cup salt toast
Instructions
- 1
In a large bowl, combine yeast, warm water, and a pinch of sugar. Let it sit for 5 minutes until the mixture becomes frothy.
- 2
Add flour, salt, and a tablespoon of oil to the bowl. Mix until a dough forms.
- 3
Knead the dough for 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- 4
Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
- 5
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 6
Divide the dough into 8-10 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and then use your hands to shape it into a pretzel.
- 7
Place the pretzels on the prepared baking sheet, leaving about 1 inch of space between each pretzel.
- 8
Bake the pretzels in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes until they are golden brown.
- 9
Remove the pretzels from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack for 5 minutes.
- 10
Serve the pretzels warm with a side of mustard or cheese sauce.
