Ethiopian Chicken Tagine
A traditional Ethiopian dish made with chicken, onions, and spices, slow cooked in a flavorful tagine.

- β1 1/2 pounds, boneless and skinless chicken
- β1 large, chopped onion
- β2 tablespoons ethiopian spice blend
- β2 cups, torn into small pieces yeasty bread
- β1 large, cleaned and prepared tagine
- β2 tablespoons oil
- β1 cup water
- βto taste salt

Instructions

Heat oil in the tagine over medium heat.

Add the onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the chicken and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

Add the Ethiopian spice blend, bread, and water to the tagine.

Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, for 20-25 minutes.
