Portuguese Yeast Cake
A traditional Portuguese yeast cake that's moist and flavorful. Perfect for breakfast or as a snack.
Ingredients

- ●3 large eggsat room temperature
- ●1 cup portuguese sweet breadchopped into small pieces
- ●1 cup granulated sugar
- ●1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- ●1 cup chocolate chips
- ●1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ●1/2 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.

In a large mixing bowl, combine yeast cake mix, eggs, and vanilla extract. Mix until well combined.

Add chopped sweet bread, granulated sugar, softened butter, and chocolate chips to the bowl. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough for 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in the greased baking dish, cover with plastic wrap, and let rise in a warm place for 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
