Tunisian Yeast Wrap
A delicious and easy-to-make Tunisian-inspired yeast wrap, perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- β1 packet (2 1/4 teaspoons) Active Dry Yeast
- β1 cup Warm Water
- β2 teaspoons Tunisian Spice Blend
- β1/2 teaspoon Coarse Salt
- β2 tablespoons Olive Oil
- β1 cup Cracked Wheat
- β2 cups All-Purpose Flour
- β1 teaspoon Dried Oregano
- β1 teaspoon Dried Cilantro
- β2 tablespoons Gooey Honey

In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water and yeast. Let it sit for 5-10 minutes until yeast is activated.

Add Tunisian Spice Blend and coarse salt. Mix well.

Gradually add cracked wheat, all-purpose flour, dried oregano, and dried cilantro. Mix until a dough forms.

Knead the dough for 5-7 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.

Preheat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium heat.

Punch down the dough and divide it into 4-6 equal portions, depending on how large you want your wraps to be.

Roll out each portion into a thin circle.

Brush the tops with olive oil and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side, until the wraps are lightly browned and puffed.

Warm the honey in a small saucepan over low heat. Brush the tops of the wraps with the warm honey.
