Polish Mushroom Dumplings
A hearty Polish dish made with savory mushroom filling and served with a side of spicy sauce. Perfect for a cold winter evening.
Ingredients
- β12 dumplingshomemade or store-bought
- β1 cup mushroomsliced
- β1/2 cup onionchopped
- β1 tsp caraway seedground
- β2 tbsp xtra virgin olive oilfor frying
- β1 cup all-purpose flourfor dumpling dough
- β1 eggbeaten
- β1 tsp salt
- β1/2 tsp black pepper
- β1/4 cup spicy saucefor serving

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook dumplings according to package instructions.

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add sliced mushrooms and cook until browned.

Add chopped onion and cook until softened. Add caraway seed and cook for 1 minute.

Combine cooked mushroom mixture with flour, egg, salt, and pepper. Mix well.

Wrap dumpling dough around mushroom filling and seal edges.
