Jamaican Chicken Wrap
A flavorful and spicy Jamaican-inspired wrap filled with grilled chicken, peppers, and onions. Serve with your favorite sides for a delicious meal.
Ingredients
- ●1 pound chicken breastboneless, skinless
- ●1-2 teaspoons jamaican pepperscotch bonnet peppers or substitute with hot sauce
- ●1-2 teaspoons xtra hot sauceadjust to taste
- ●1 large bell pepperany color
- ●1 medium onionany color
- ●4-6 wraptortilla or flatbread
- ●to taste salt

1. In a small bowl, mix together jamaican pepper, xtra hot sauce, and salt. Set aside.

2. In a large bowl, whisk together 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 1 tablespoon of lime juice. Add the chicken and marinate for at least 30 minutes.

3. Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade and cook for 5-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

4. Meanwhile, slice the bell pepper and onion into thin strips.

5. Once the chicken is cooked, let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing it into thin strips.

6. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onion and bell pepper and cook until tender, about 5 minutes.

7. Warm the wraps by wrapping them in a damp paper towel and microwaving for 20-30 seconds.

8. Assemble the wraps by placing a few slices of the chicken, some of the sautéed onion and bell pepper, and a sprinkle of cilantro inside each wrap.
