- β2 tablespoons xenial five-spice powderadjust to taste
- β2 tablespoons chinese rice vinegaror substitute with apple cider vinegar
- β2 tablespoons ma cornstarchfor dusting
- β1 tablespoon la sesame oilfor frying
- β1 tablespoon tang honeyoptional for glaze
