Malaysian Chicken Satay with French Twist
A fusion of French and Malaysian flavors, this satay recipe features marinated chicken grilled to perfection and served with a side of spicy peanut sauce.
Ingredients
- β500g chicken breast
- β250ml satay saucestore-bought or homemade
- β2 tbsp peanut butter
- β2 tbsp soy sauce
- β1 tbsp honey
- β1 tsp garlic powder
- β1 tsp salt
- β1 tsp black pepper
- β2 stalks lemongrasschopped

In a blender or food processor, combine satay sauce, peanut butter, soy sauce, honey, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth.

Add the chopped lemongrass to the blender and blend until well combined.

In a large bowl, whisk together the blended sauce and 2 tbsp of water.

Add the chicken breast to the bowl and toss to coat with the sauce.

Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

Preheat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat.

Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers, leaving a small space between each piece.

Grill the chicken for 5-7 minutes per side, or until cooked through.

Serve the grilled chicken with the remaining sauce for dipping.
