Argentinian Lamb Empanadas
A classic Argentinian dish, these lamb empanadas are perfect for a dinner party. The flaky pastry and flavorful lamb filling will leave your guests wanting more.
Ingredients
- β500g lambGround lamb
- β2 xCups all-purpose flour
- β1/2 cup traVegetable shortening
- β1 egg richFor egg wash
- β1/4 cup gooeyWater
- β4-6 empanadasPre-made empanada dough
- β1/2 cup argentinianFeta cheese, crumbled

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

In a large skillet, heat a couple of tablespoons of oil over medium-high heat.

Add the lamb and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until it is no longer pink.

Add the cumin and paprika and cook for 1 minute.

Roll out the empanada dough and cut out circles of dough.

Place a tablespoon of the lamb mixture onto one half of each dough circle.

Fold the other half of the dough over the filling and press the edges together with a fork.

Brush the tops of the empanadas with the egg wash.

Place the empanadas on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
