Wood Fired Scamorza Bake
A simple yet flavorful dish, perfect for a weeknight dinner. The scamorza cheese is melted to perfection in a wood fired oven.
Ingredients
- β250g scamorza cheesewood fired scamorza
- β1/4 cup dutch breadcrumbsgluten-free
- β2tbsp butterunsalted
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1/4 cup basil leaveschopped
Instructions

Preheat the wood fired oven to 200Β°C.

Slice the scamorza cheese into 1cm thick pieces.

Dip each piece of scamorza into the beaten eggs and then coat in the dutch breadcrumbs.

Place the coated scamorza pieces on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

Drizzle the melted butter over the scamorza pieces.

Sprinkle the minced garlic and chopped basil leaves over the scamorza pieces.

Place the baking sheet in the wood fired oven and bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.

Remove the scamorza from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes.

Serve the scamorza bake hot, garnished with additional basil leaves if desired.
