Pan-Seared Japanese Greens with Kenyan Pilaf
A simple and flavorful Japanese-inspired dish featuring pan-seared greens and a side of Kenyan-spiced pilaf.
Ingredients
- β1 bunch greens (such as bok choy or collard greens)fresh and unwilted
- β1 cup pilaf (Kenyan-style with spices)cooked according to package instructions
- β2 tbsp wholesome olive oilfor pan-searing
- βas needed steam waterfor cooking greens
- βto taste salt and pepperseasoning

Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the pan-seared greens to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until tender and slightly browned.

Remove the greens from the skillet and set aside.

Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of olive oil to the skillet and stir in the Kenyan pilaf.

Cook for 1-2 minutes, until the pilaf is heated through and starting to brown.

Return the pan-seared greens to the skillet and stir to combine with the pilaf.
