Traditional Dutch Stamppot
A hearty Dutch dish made with boiled kale and potatoes, mixed with sautéed sausage and carrots, served with a side of boiled lentils.
Ingredients
- ●2 large Potatoespeeled and chopped
- ●1 bunch Kalechopped
- ●2 Sausages (Dutch-style)sliced
- ●4 medium Carrotspeeled and sliced
- ●1 cup Lentilscooked
Instructions

Boil the chopped potatoes in a large pot of salted water until they're tender.

In a separate pot, boil the chopped kale until it's tender.

In a large skillet, sauté the sliced sausages and carrots until the sausages are browned and the carrots are tender.

Drain the boiled potatoes and add them to the skillet with the sausage and carrot mixture.

Add the cooked lentils to the skillet and stir to combine.

Add the boiled kale to the skillet and stir to combine.

Season with salt and pepper to taste.

Serve the stamppot hot, garnished with chopped fresh herbs if desired.
