Walnut Biscotti Crusted French Toast
A French-inspired breakfast dish, crusted with crushed biscotti and walnuts, perfect for a weekend brunch.
Ingredients

- β1 cup wholesome milk
- β2 tbsp light maple syrup
- β1/2 cup, chopped walnuts
- β1 cup, crushed biscotti
- β4 slices wholesome bread
- β4 tbsp butter
- β1 tsp cinnamon
- β1/4 tsp nutmeg
Instructions

In a shallow dish, whisk together eggs, milk, and maple syrup.

Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

Dip each bread slice into the egg mixture, coating both sides.

Place the bread slices in the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes on each side.

In a separate pan, melt 2 tbsp of butter over low heat.

Add the crushed biscotti and chopped walnuts to the pan and cook, stirring constantly, for 2-3 minutes or until lightly toasted.

Transfer the cooked French toast to a serving plate and top with the walnut biscotti crust.

Drizzle with remaining butter and sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
