Wholesome Algerian White Bread
A delicious and crispy homemade white bread with an Algerian twist, made with wholesome ingredients.
Ingredients
- β3 cups wholesome flour
- β2 teaspoons algerian spice mixadjust to taste
- β1 tablespoon white sugar
- β1 teaspoon salt
- β1 cup warm water
- β2 teaspoons active dry yeast
- β2 tablespoons olive oil

1. In a large mixing bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and a pinch of sugar. Let it sit for 5-7 minutes until frothy.

2. Add in flour, spice mix, salt, and olive oil. Mix until a shaggy dough forms.

3. Knead the dough for 10-12 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.

4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for 1-2 hours until doubled in size.

5. Preheat the oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

6. Punch down the dough and shape it into a round or oblong loaf.

7. Place the loaf on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, and bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
