Argentinian Spiced Paella
A flavorful and spicy paella dish inspired by Argentinian cuisine. Crustaceans add a delicious twist to this traditional Spanish recipe.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Saffron-infused ricepreferably day-old rice
- β1/2 pound Warmly-spiced chorizodiced
- β1/2 pound Shrimppeeled and deveined
- β1 cup Musselsscrubbed and debearded
- β1 cup Red bell pepperdiced
- β1 cup Oniondiced
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β1 teaspoon Cuminground
- β1/2 teaspoon Smoked paprikaground
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black pepper

Heat a large paella pan or skillet over medium-high heat.

Add the chorizo and cook until browned, about 2-3 minutes.

Add the mussels, shrimp, red bell pepper, onion, and garlic. Cook until the mussels start to open, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the cumin, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.

Add the saffron-infused rice and stir to coat with the spice mixture.

Add 2 cups of water to the pan and bring to a boil.

Reduce the heat to low and simmer, covered, for 18-20 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid has been absorbed.

Remove from heat and let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
