Peruvian Tofu Tiramito
A twist on the classic Peruvian dish, this tofu tiradito is a flavorful and refreshing snack or main course. The warmly spiced tofu is served with a crumbly, crispy topping.
Ingredients
- β1 block (14 oz) tofufirm or extra-firm works best
- β1/4 cup lime juicefreshly squeezed
- β2 tbsp aolistore-bought or homemade
- β1 tsp cuminwarmly spiced
- β1/4 cup crushed corn nutscrumbly topping
- β1/4 cup chopped cilantrooptional garnish
- β1 tsp sesame seedsoptional garnish
Instructions

Cut the tofu into small cubes and place on a baking sheet.

Drizzle the tofu with lime juice and sprinkle with cumin.

Bake the tofu in a preheated oven at 375Β°F (190Β°C) for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly browned.

While the tofu is baking, mix the aoli with a squeeze of lime juice.

Once the tofu is done, remove it from the oven and let it cool slightly.

Toss the tofu with the aoli mixture and stir to coat.

Sprinkle the crumbly corn nuts on top of the tofu and serve garnished with cilantro and sesame seeds if desired.
