- β1 pound Smoked sausagelook for a German-style sausage
- β1 (15 oz) can Canned white beansdrained and rinsed
- β1 medium Onionchopped
- β3 cloves Garlicminced
- β2 medium Carrotspeeled and chopped
- β2 medium Potatoespeeled and chopped
- β2 tablespoons Tomato pasteoptional
- β4 slices Baconoptional
- β1 cup Warm beeroptional

Brown the sausage in a large pot over medium-high heat.

Remove the sausage from the pot and set aside.

Add the bacon to the pot and cook until crispy.
