Thai Beef Tagine
A fusion of Thai and North African flavors, this dish combines the warmth of tagine spices with the bold flavors of Thai cuisine.
Ingredients
- β500g beef (thinly sliced)
- β2 tbsp coconut oil
- β1 onion
- β3 cloves garlic
- β2 tbsp lemon juice
- β1 tbsp fish sauce
- β1 tbsp brown sugar
- β1 tsp cumin
- β1 tsp coriander
- β1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
- β1/2 tsp salt
- β1/4 tsp black pepper

Heat oil in large pan over medium-high heat.

Add beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.

Remove beef from pan and set aside.

Add onion and garlic to pan and cook until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Add cumin, coriander, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper to pan and cook for 1 minute.

Add fish sauce and brown sugar to pan and cook for 1 minute.

Return beef to pan and stir to coat with spice mixture.

Add lemon juice to pan and stir to combine.

Bring mixture to a simmer and cook for 10-15 minutes, or until beef is cooked to desired level of doneness.
