Japanese Genmaicha Ramen
A classic Japanese ramen recipe with a twist of genmaicha tea-infused flavors. This comforting bowl is perfect for a cold day.
Ingredients
- β1 cup Pork ChashuThinly sliced pork braised in soy sauce
- β2 cups Genmaicha TeaJapanese green tea and roasted brown rice
- β1 package Ramen Noodles Japanese-style wheat flour noodles
- β1 cup MushroomsSliced shiitake or cremini
- β1 bunch ScallionsThinly sliced green onions
- β2 tablespoons Soy SauceJapanese soy sauce
- β1 tablespoon Sesame OilFor added richness
- β1 tablespoon SugarFor balance of flavors
- β1 bunch Bok ChoyFor garnish

1. In a medium saucepan, bring 2 cups of genmaicha tea to a boil.

2. Add 1 package of ramen noodles and cook according to package instructions.

3. In a separate pan, heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil over medium heat.

4. Add 1 cup of sliced mushrooms and cook until tender.

5. Add 1 cup of thinly sliced pork chashu and cook until heated through.

6. In a small bowl, whisk together 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of sugar.

7. Add the soy sauce mixture to the pork and mushroom mixture, and stir to combine.

8. To assemble the ramen, place cooked noodles in a bowl, then top with the pork and mushroom mixture.
