Japanese Potato Pie
A creative twist on traditional Japanese cuisine, this potato pie combines warm and flaky pastry with a delicious irish potato filling.
Ingredients

- β1 sheet warm puff pastrythawed
- β1 tsp flaky sea saltoptional
- β1/4 cup green onionschopped
- β2 tbsp soy sauceoptional
- β1 tsp sugaroptional
- βto taste black pepper

Preheat the oven to 400Β°F (200Β°C).

Roll out the puff pastry on a lightly floured surface to a thickness of about 1/8 inch.

Transfer the pastry to a 9-inch tart pan with a removable bottom.

In a large bowl, combine the diced potatoes, chopped green onions, soy sauce, sugar, and black pepper.

Fill the pastry crust with the potato mixture and spread it out evenly.

Brush the edges of the pastry with a little water and fold the excess pastry over the filling to form a crust.

Use a knife to cut a few slits in the top of the pastry to allow steam to escape.
