Hearty Dutch Stew
A warm and comforting Dutch stew made with tender chunks of beef and fresh vegetables.
Ingredients
- β1 1/2 pounds Beef Stew MeatCut into 1 1/2-inch cubes
- β1 medium OnionChopped
- β2 medium CarrotChopped
- β2 large PotatoChopped
- β2 tablespoons Dutch Tomato PasteDissolved in 2 cups of beef broth
- β2 cups Beef Broth
- β1 teaspoon Salt
- β1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
- β1/4 cup Fresh ParsleyChopped (optional)
Instructions

Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

Add beef and cook until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes.

Remove beef from pot and set aside.

Add more oil if necessary, then add onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add carrot and potato and cook for 5 minutes.

Add beef broth, tomato paste, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.

Return beef to pot and bring to a boil.

Reduce heat to low and simmer, covered, for 1 1/2 hours, or until beef is tender.

Taste and adjust seasoning as needed.

Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley if desired.
