Crispy Tunisian Skillet Frankfurter
A twist on traditional hot dogs, this crispy Tunisian skillet frankfurter combines flavors of North Africa with a crunchy twist.
Ingredients
- β4 Frankfurterany type of hot dog
- β2 tsp Tunisian Spice Blendstore-bought or homemade
- β4 Warm Pita Breadsplit in half
- β1 cup Crispy Skillet Croutonsstore-bought or homemade
- β1/4 cup Chopped Fresh Cilantrooptional
- β1/4 cup Sliced Red Onionoptional
- β4 Lemon Wedgesfor serving
- β2 tbsp Harissa Mayostore-bought or homemade
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black Pepper
Instructions

Preheat a non-stick skillet over medium heat.

Add the Tunisian Spice Blend and cook for 1 minute.

Add the Frankfurter and cook for 2-3 minutes per side, until crispy.

Toast the Pita Bread by grilling for 1-2 minutes per side.

Top each Pita Bread half with a cooked Frankfurter, some Skillet Croutons, and a dollop of Harissa Mayo.

Garnish with Chopped Fresh Cilantro and Sliced Red Onion, if desired.
