Japanese Ploughman's Lunch
A unique fusion of British ploughman's lunch and Japanese flavors.
Ingredients
- β1 loaf Japanese miso bread
- β1 Warm, soft-boiled eggfrom the Japanese breakfast tradition
- β1 sheet Crisp, buttery nori seaweed
- β2 tbsp Soft, creamy wasabi mayonnaise
- β4 oz British cheddar cheesea classic ploughman's favorite
- β1 Cucumber slices
- β1/4 cup Pickled ginger

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Slice the miso bread into 1/2-inch thick rounds.

Top each bread round with a slice of cheddar cheese and place in the oven for 5 minutes, or until cheese is melted.

Meanwhile, cook the soft-boiled egg by boiling for 6-7 minutes, then immediately transferring to an ice bath.

Slice the nori seaweed sheet into strips.

Assemble the ploughman's lunch by placing a slice of the miso bread on a plate, followed by a slice of the warm egg, a few strips of nori seaweed, a dollop of wasabi mayonnaise, and a few slices of cucumber.
