Polish Sausage Casserole
A hearty, comforting casserole filled with warm, cheesy goodness and the savory flavor of polish sausages.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Polish Sausagesyou can use any type of sausage you like, but polish sausages have a nice snap to them
- β1 medium Casserole Dishany type of casserole dish will work
- β1 cup shredded Cheesecheddar or mozzarella work well for this recipe
- β1 medium Oniondiced
- β1 medium Bell Pepperdiced
- β1 cup sliced Mushroomsbutton or cremini work well
- β2 tablespoons Tomato Pasteoptional
- βto taste Saltuse kosher salt
- βto taste Pepperuse freshly ground black pepper
- β2 tablespoons Olive Oilfor browning the sausages

Preheat oven to 350Β°F (180Β°C).

Brown the polish sausages in a large skillet over medium-high heat, about 5 minutes per side. Set aside.

In the same skillet, add the olive oil, onion, bell pepper, and mushrooms. Cook until the vegetables are tender, about 5 minutes.

Add the tomato paste to the skillet and cook for 1 minute.

Add the cooked sausages back into the skillet and stir to combine with the vegetables and tomato paste.

Transfer the mixture to a medium-sized casserole dish.

Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top of the casserole.

Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
