German Shepherd's Casserole
A hearty German-inspired casserole filled with savory flavors and tender meat.
Ingredients
- β1 pound warm ground beef
- β8 ounces casserole noodles
- β1 medium onion
- β1 cup shredded canadian cheddar cheese
- β1/2 cup milk
- β2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- βto taste salt
- βto taste black pepper

Preheat oven to 375Β°F (190Β°C).

Cook the casserole noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.

In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned, breaking it up into small pieces as it cooks.

Add the diced onion to the skillet and cook until softened.

Sprinkle the flour over the ground beef mixture and cook for 1 minute.

Gradually add the milk, whisking continuously to avoid lumps.

Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook until it thickens, stirring occasionally.

Stir in the shredded cheddar cheese until melted and smooth.

In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked noodles, ground beef mixture, and a pinch of salt and pepper to taste.
