Pan-Seared Duck Gyoza with Italian Twist
A fusion of Italian and Japanese flavors in this crispy pan-seared duck gyoza dish.
Ingredients
- β1 lb duck breastsliced into thin strips
- β20-25 wrappers gyoza wrappersavailable at most Asian grocery stores
- β1 medium vivid onionssliced
- β3 cloves dense garlicminced
- β2 tbsp japanese sesame oilfor brushing gyoza
- β1/4 cup parmesan cheesegrated
Instructions

Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat.

Brush the gyoza wrappers with sesame oil on both sides.

Place a duck breast strip in the center of each wrapper.

Add a few slices of onion and a sprinkle of garlic on top of the duck.

Fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle and press the edges together to seal.

Heat 1-2 tbsp of olive oil in the preheated skillet and add the gyoza, seam-side down.

Cook for 2-3 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown.

Flip the gyoza over and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes or until the other side is also golden brown.

Serve hot with parmesan cheese sprinkled on top.
