Saudian Arabian Duck Tagine
A rich and flavorful stew originating from the Middle East, made with tender duck, aromatic spices, and velvety sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 (1.5 lbs) Duck breastBoneless, skinless
- β2 tbsp Velvety sauceFor serving
- β2 tsp Saudian spice blendAvailable at Middle Eastern markets
- β1 tsp Arabian cuminGround
- β2 tbsp Coconut oilFor cooking
- β1 medium OnionChopped
- β3 cloves GarlicMinced
- β1/4 cup Dried apricotsChopped
- β1/4 cup AlmondsSliced

1. Heat oil in a large Dutch oven over medium-high heat.

2. Brown the duck breast on both sides, then set aside.

3. Add onion and garlic to the pot and cook until softened.

4. Stir in spice blend and cumin and cook for 1 minute.

5. Add apricots and almonds to the pot and cook for 2 minutes.

6. Return the duck to the pot and add enough water to cover.

7. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 1 hour.

8. Serve the duck with steamed vegetables and velvety sauce spooned over the top.
