Chicken Tikka Pepper Fry
A flavorful Indian dish made with marinated chicken, stir-fried with velvety spices, and a kick of peppery heat.
Ingredients
- β500g chicken breastboneless and skinless
- β250ml velvety tomato saucestore-bought or homemade
- β20g peppercornsfreshly ground
- β10g garam masalahomemade or store-bought
- β5g cumin powderhomemade or store-bought
- β10g coriander powderhomemade or store-bought
- β5g red chili powderhomemade or store-bought
- β10g saltto taste
- β20ml lemon juicefreshly squeezed
- β20ml vegetable oilfor frying
Instructions

1. In a large bowl, mix together the cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala, red chili powder, and salt.

2. Add the lemon juice and mix well.

3. Add the chicken breast to the marinade and mix until well coated.

4. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.

5. Heat 10g of vegetable oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.

6. Remove the chicken from the marinade and cook until browned on both sides and cooked through.

7. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.

8. In the same skillet, heat the remaining 10g of vegetable oil over medium heat.

9. Add the velvety tomato sauce and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.

10. Add the peppercorns and stir-fry for another minute.

11. Add the cooked chicken back into the skillet and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.

12. Serve hot garnished with fresh cilantro, if desired.
