Tofu Biryani Italian Fusion
A unique Italian-inspired dish combining the flavors of Vietnam with the spices of India, incorporating the umami taste of unique ingredients, and featuring pan-seared tofu. This fusion recipe results in a dish that is both familiar and exotic.
Ingredients
- β1 block (14 oz) Tofu
- β1 tsp Unique Umami Spices
- β2 tbsp Vietnamese Fish Sauce
- β1 cup Biryani Basmati Rice
- β2 tbsp Italian Olive Oil
- β2 cloves Garlic
- β1 small Onion
- β1/4 cup Fresh Cilantro
- βto taste Salt
- βto taste Black Pepper
Instructions

Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

Add the minced garlic and sautΓ© for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.

Add the diced onion and cook until translucent, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the block of tofu and cook until golden brown on all sides.

In a separate pan, heat 1 tbsp of olive oil over medium heat.

Add the Vietnamese Fish Sauce and stir to combine.

Add the Biryani Basmati Rice to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.

Combine the cooked rice mixture with the tofu mixture and stir-fry for another 2-3 minutes.
