Savory German Meat Pho
A twist on traditional pho, this German-inspired dish combines the flavors of a hearty beef stew with the comfort of a warm, Vietnamese-style noodle soup.
Ingredients
- β500g beef brisketcut into bite-sized pieces
- β2 tbsp sour creamfor added richness
- β2 slices crumbly rye breadfor serving
- β2L vietnamese beef brothhomemade or store-bought
- β2 cups rest of beef brothfor added depth
- β2 tbsp meatfor added flavor
- β8 oz pho noodlesfresh or dried
- β1 medium onionsliced
- β2 medium carrotpeeled and sliced
- β2-inch piece gingersliced
Instructions

Bring the vietnamese beef broth and rest of beef broth to a boil in a large pot.

Reduce heat to a simmer and add the sliced onion and carrot to the pot.

Cook for 10 minutes or until the vegetables are tender.

Add the sliced ginger and beef brisket to the pot.

Cook for an additional 10 minutes or until the beef is tender.

Cook the pho noodles according to the package instructions.

To serve, place a portion of the noodles in a bowl and ladle the hot beef broth over the top.

Add a slice of crumbly rye bread and a dollop of sour cream on top.
