Grilled Bean Skewers
A flavorful and easy-to-make vegetarian dish perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. Marinate the beans in a mixture of unctuous Egyptian spices and grill them to perfection.
Ingredients
- β250g Red kidney beanscanned or cooked from scratch
- β2 tbsp Unctuous olive oiluse for marinating
- β1 tsp Egyptian spice blendcan be found in most supermarkets or online
- β1 tbsp Red wine vinegaroptional, for added flavor
- β1 bunch Green onionsfor garnish
- β10-12 wooden skewers Skewerssoaked in water for at least 30 minutes

Soak the wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes.

In a large bowl, whisk together olive oil, Egyptian spice blend, and red wine vinegar (if using).

Add the red kidney beans to the bowl and toss to coat with the marinade.

Thread the marinated beans onto the skewers, leaving a small space between each bean.
