Crispy Savoy Cabbage Bites with Labneh Sauce
A Japanese-inspired appetizer featuring crispy fried cabbage and a creamy labneh sauce. Perfect for a quick snack or light meal.
Ingredients

- β1 cup labnehchilled
- β1/2 cup all-purpose flourfor coating
- β1/2 cup panko breadcrumbsfor coating
- β1 tsp middle eastern seasoning blendoptional
- β1/4 cup vegetable oilfor frying

In a shallow dish, mix together flour and middle eastern seasoning blend (if using)

In another shallow dish, place panko breadcrumbs

Dip each cabbage slice into the flour mixture, coating both sides, then into the breadcrumbs, pressing gently to adhere

Heat 1/4 cup of vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat

Add a few cabbage bites to the skillet (do not overcrowd) and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per side

Drain the fried cabbage bites on paper towels

Meanwhile, mix labneh with a squeeze of lemon juice and a pinch of salt in a small bowl
