Roasted Spring Onion Gratin
A rich and savory side dish featuring spring onions in a creamy gratin.
Ingredients

- ●2 cloves roasted garlic
- ●1 cup, grated gruyère cheese
- ●1/2 cup heavy cream
- ●2 tbsp irish butter
- ●to taste salt

Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Slice the spring onions into 1-inch pieces, leaving the roots intact.

In a large skillet, sauté the spring onions in 1 tablespoon of butter until softened.

Add roasted garlic and cook for an additional minute.

Transfer the mixture to a 9x13 inch baking dish.

In a separate saucepan, combine heavy cream and grated Gruyère cheese. Stir over low heat until the cheese is melted and smooth.

Pour the cream mixture over the spring onion mixture in the baking dish.

Dot the top with remaining butter.
