Claypot Chicken German Style
A twist on traditional German cuisine, using Malaysian claypot cooking. Tender and flavorful, this dish is sure to be a hit.
Ingredients
- ●1 lb chicken breastcut into bite-sized pieces
- ●1 medium onionchopped
- ●3 cloves garlicminced
- ●2 tbsp all-purpose flourto coat chicken
- ●1 cup beerany German beer will do
- ●2 cups chicken brothlow sodium
- ●2 tbsp malaysian claypot seasoningor to taste
- ●2 medium potatoespeeled and chopped

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).

Season chicken with salt, pepper, and flour. Heat a large oven-safe claypot over medium-high heat.

Add chicken to the claypot and cook until browned on all sides, about 5-7 minutes. Remove chicken from the claypot and set aside.

Add more oil to the claypot if needed, then sauté onions and garlic until softened, about 3-4 minutes.

Add beer, chicken broth, and claypot seasoning to the claypot. Stir to combine.

Return chicken to the claypot, cover with a lid, and transfer to the preheated oven.

Bake for 25-30 minutes or until chicken is cooked through and potatoes are tender.
