Tender Korean Gimbap
A simple Korean-inspired rice bowl dish with tender beef, gimbap rice, and tangy tamarind sauce.
Ingredients
- β1 pound Beef (tender)
- β2 cups cooked Gimbap rice
- β2 tablespoons Tamarind paste
- β1 teaspoon Korean chili flakes (gochugaru)
- β2 tablespoons Soy sauce
- β1 tablespoon Brown sugar
- β2 tablespoons Rice vinegar
- β1/4 cup chopped Green onions
- β1 tablespoon Sesame seeds
- βto taste Salt

Cook the gimbap rice according to package instructions.

In a large pan, heat 1 tablespoon of oil over medium-high heat.

Add the beef and cook until browned, about 3-4 minutes.

Add the tamarind paste, chili flakes, soy sauce, brown sugar, and rice vinegar to the pan.

Stir to combine and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Add the cooked gimbap rice to the pan and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.

Season with salt to taste.

Transfer the rice mixture to a serving bowl.
