Warak Enab Stuffed with Eastern Cheese
A Middle Eastern dish where stuffed grape leaves are filled with a tangy cheese blend and served as a snack or light meal.
Ingredients
- β12-15 leaves Warak Enabfresh or jarred
- β1 cup Eastern Cheesecrumbly feta or goat cheese works well
- β1/2 cup Tangy Cheesemix of feta and parmesan
- β1 tsp Middle Eastern Spice Blenddried oregano, thyme, and sumac
- β2 tbsp Olive Oilfor brushing grape leaves
Instructions

Rinse the grape leaves and remove stems.

In a bowl, mix together Eastern cheese and Tangy cheese.

Add Middle Eastern Spice Blend to the cheese mixture and stir to combine.

Place a grape leaf on a flat surface, vein side up.

Place a tablespoon of the cheese mixture in the center of the grape leaf.

Fold the stem end over the filling, then fold in the sides and roll the leaf into a neat package.

Repeat with remaining grape leaves and filling.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat and brush with Olive Oil.

Add the stuffed grape leaves to the skillet, seam side down.

Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the grape leaves are tender and the filling is heated through.
