Argentinian Creamy Tofu Bisque
A rich and creamy soup inspired by Argentinean flavors, made with pan-seared tofu and a blend of spices.
Ingredients
- β1 block (14 oz) tofuextra-firm
- β2 tablespoons tangylime juice
- β2 cups creamheavy cream
- β1 cup bisquehomemade or store-bought
- β1 medium onionchopped
- β2 cloves garlicminced
- β1 teaspoon paprikasmoked
- β1 teaspoon cuminground
- β1 teaspoon saltto taste
- β1/4 teaspoon black pepperto taste

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a large saucepan over medium heat.

Add the chopped onion and cook until softened, about 5 minutes.

Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute.

Add the smoked paprika, ground cumin, salt, and black pepper.

Stir for 30 seconds.

Add the block of tofu and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.

Pour in the homemade or store-bought bisque, and heavy cream.

Bring the mixture to a simmer.

Reduce the heat to low and let cook for 10-15 minutes.

Stir in the lime juice.
